What is showering like for you?
Aside from the technology and the layout of the room, it’s really a question of what makes you feel most comfortable. What does a shower mean to you? Closing the door and enjoying ten minutes’ peace from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Then we recommend a sliding door with soft-open/close, which best conveys this feeling. Stepping
out of the shower into the world with grandeur? A hinged door or a two part hinged door can offer this particularly well. Want to feel as though you’re simply walking into a waterfall whilst showering? Then you should opt for a WALK-IN shower.
Ideally, the opening should be as large as possible – nobody wants to have to wriggle their way out of the shower. For showers up to 90 cm deep, we recommend either an outward-opening hinged door or two hinged doors with folding mechanisms.
Measure the dimensions of the bathroom and the shower enclosure. Take into account the space required for the door when it is open.
Think about how much space you need for the entrance and how often the door will be used. Consider whether the door should open in both directions or swing in just one direction.
Are you planning to install a bathroom radiator or towel hook near the shower area? Bear these elements in mind when planning the door opening, as they may affect the door’s swing range. Ensure there is sufficient space to open the door without restriction.
