Marks on glass surfaces
When moisture condenses on the glass pane (hot water vapour/cold shower cubicle pane), usually after showering, stains, suction marks or label marks may become visible on the glass surface. These are no longer visible once the glass is dry and clean.
The reason for these marks is the varying wettability of the glass surface.
The surface of the glass pane is "touched, processed, transported, etc." several times during the manufacturing process. Each "impact on the glass surface" (hand sweat, grease, label adhesive, normal handling, etc.) has a different surface energy, which inevitably leads to different wettability on the glass pane of the shower enclosure.
Further details on the technical and physical background:
During the manufacture of ESG* glass, the individual panes are thoroughly washed in a special "washing machine" with treated water. This makes the glass surface extremely clean and chemically and physically highly active (i.e. the glass pane is physically "prone" to forming connections). This means that the glass surface absorbs foreign materials such as minimal hand perspiration, tiny, invisible amounts of grease, tiny pieces of label adhesive, etc. when it comes into contact with them, as the discs have to be touched and handled during further processing in production, transport and assembly. This represents the current state of the art.
The discs are therefore visually absolutely clean at normal humidity. The phenomenon of "marks" is therefore only visible at high humidity (during showering). Over time, periodic cleaning of the discs will largely eliminate the differences in wettability and the marks will disappear.
We ask for your understanding that we cannot accept the complaint for the reasons stated above.
