Choosing the right shower door is also crucial for designing small bathrooms. Depending on the layout, different door types offer various advantages. Swing doors open outwards only and therefore require more space, whilst classic sliding doors are significantly more space-saving – they glide smoothly along a rail. Pendulum doors, on the other hand, offer particular flexibility as they can be opened both inwards and outwards. Double-leaf swing doors are particularly popular: they allow for a generous entry point whilst requiring only a small swing area. Corner showers with swing-fold doors, which Kermi Duschdesign offers in various ranges, are particularly suitable for confined spaces. When not in use, they can be folded completely against the wall, thus freeing up virtually the entire room.

The LIGA shower, in its U-shaped folding design, is a real space-saving marvel. It has been specially designed for compact bathrooms and narrow layouts. When not in use, the shower enclosure can be folded away to a depth of less than 40 cm in no time at all and folded flat against the wall – creating valuable space, particularly in so-called narrow bathrooms.
